Is it true that the common Chinese Algae Eater doesn't really eat any algae?

I don't know, but I've got 2 Siamese Algae Eaters (one per tank) and
they never stop. BTW, my LFS was out at the time and I found a whole
tank of them at WalMart - go figure.

Now if I could just get rid of the blue-green stuff ...
