Can a Blood Red Fire Shrimp live in a fish only tank with no live rock?
I would like to get one, but have never had a shrimp before.

If you provide a lot of hiding places AND if "fish only tank"
does not host any of natural shrimp predators (a lot of fish!)
I do not see any reason not to have it - it is beautiful animal.

When shrimp molts, its body is very soft and all fish would like to
snack on its legs or antennas... So they need a lot of hidding places.
I would get two - they will mate and produce planktonic larvae
every week... A nice food addition for your smaller fish.
