Keyhole Limpets move about the reef, substrate and even glass. Their
body is protected by a cone-like shell that has a small hole at the
apex or top. When extended, some display a delicate lace-like fringe
or skirt. I have had a few of these over the years, and usually they
are about .75" to 1.5" in size. Many babies about 1/8" appear in the
sump, refugium and plumbing. Reef-safe.

My creature turns out to be a keyhole limpet (Thanks George, I
didn't realize that the name would come up if I held it on the
picture). Are these harmful?

Many thanks!

Does it look anything like any of the critters on this page?

I've recently noticed a creature on my live rock. It seems to be
nocturnal and sort of looks like a leach. It has browish and
white stripes. He crawls for cover when the lights come on. Any
ideas on what this is? Is it harmful? Should I get it out of my
tank next time I see it?

Thanks!
