How I overdosed in calcium?
Good question, I thought I was doing everything right. When I last
checked it my calcium was on or below 380 mg/L. I added a couple of
capfulls of the Ca supplement (the label says it only increases Ca by
about 3mg/L so I thought it was safe to add two cap fulls).
What Ca supplement was it? (manufacturer name)
Upon testing the water levels everything seemed within normal levels.
NH3 was at 0. Nitrate was a little high, don't remember how high but
it wasn't alarming. Calcium levels were off the charts.. I don't know
how high but it was definately over 600 mg/L because I stopped testing
after adding like 30 drops of the testing solution.
What did I do wrong? I don't think I did... unless the additives
mislabled the amount of Ca, or if I just can't do math...
Such high levels of Ca are almost unreal - Ca usually precipitates before
reaching this levels. I am sure water chemistry was way off chart....
