Hi
The Fluval 3 internal filter, almost 2 years old, seems to be losing its
power.
Is 2 years more or less the useful life of this type of filter?
Thanks for any feedback.
Paul.

The question really is what is the life span of the impeller? I have heard
that natural permanent magnates used in impellers can lose effectiveness
over time (ceramic magnates are usually used for impellers). Get a new
impeller for $05.00 to $10.00 and that should revive it, if you want to, if
it does the job that's what I would do. Fluvals have replaceable impeller
shafts too that might need to be changed but usually you just need to change
the impeller. Good luck and enjoy the filter!

Thanks for that, I'll give it a try.
