Luck mostly. What is your filter set up? If you're sucking up a lot you may
have to modify it till the fry get bigger.

Though I have to say, in my upper pond that flows into the lower at 1500
gph, I still had fry stay in the upper pond. 8 are 4-5 inches long now. I
need to cull out half. ~ jan
