Thusly Suzie-Q Spake Unto All:

I added an algae eater to my betta's tank and, man did that
algae disappear. There was quite a bit, including some red
algae which I read up on at thekrib. I got the algae eater
last Wednesday and the algae is nearly all gone. Can they
overeat?

Should I get some algae tabs to keep the ae fed?

I think I may have gotten an SAE, but haven't actually looked
them up on the web to know for sure. Doesn't look like the
normal fat, gray plecos. It's sleeker and light brown.

1) No, they can't.
2) It'll take any fish food, but algae tabs is good.
3) Check its identity, so you don't have a CHINESE algae eater. Those
grow up to be big & extremely aggressive.
