Default Building my first sump

You could use a 20g tall if you like. You'll need to buy an overflow box, like
those used for wet/dry sumps.

I'd guess you've seen this before, but here are the links just in case:

I want to build a sump for my 55gallon, it is not predrilled and I
can't/won't drill it, mainly due to the fact that it is already setup with
some soft corals and live rock. I looked at the LFS today and they have 20
gallon high on sale for $21.99 which I thought was not bad. But is this the
right size to use for my 55gallon should I get something bigger or a
20gallon long vs high. I will put live sand and a few pieces of live rock in
it along with my heaters and Protein skimmer if I am amble to get another
one for a good price right now I have a CPR BAK PAK2R that is HOT. Also what
would you all recommend for getting the water down to the sump I know you
can buy some H.O.T options for wet dry filters will these work or anyone
else have a better idea.

Any comments or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
