New ponds cycle through a green water stage as they get balanced
biologically. Most of us just wait it out or perhaps move to a UV light
that will kill the algae. Your plants and filter are important to
gaining a balance in the artificial ecosystem of the pond.

I suspect someone will point you to one of the suggestion pages that
talk about your problem. You could Google green water and come up with
one in a hurry.
