Hmmm actually I was surprised as many larvae are found in my pond...
280 gallon with a 25 gallon vegi filter. My pump is rated 650g/hour and
there is a 2 foot+ water fall on one side from the VF and a spitter on
the other and several dozen platy/mollies/tetra and a couple of bettas
along with countless dragonfly larvae they have to dodge to get to
adulthood...but if you wait and watch you might catch one emerging from
the pupa stage as an adult.
