I have heard koi clay is good for pond & fish. Does anybody have any
info on this. Is there certain kind?

Yes, it is supposedly necessary for good digestion and bright colors,
though I don't know if it is the clay or the minerals within. It is
important to get calcium (calcium montmorillonite also call bentonite) and
not sodium bentonite clay (which most cat litter are).

A good website of info and place to purchase:
http://www.perfectearthkoi.com/ This company was sending out free samples
at one time, so you might E them and see if that is still so. ~ jan
