Default Modify your MaxiJet 1200 for more flow

My son's 29g needed more flow, and I've seen various modifications over
the years. Rather than adding another powerhead, I thought I'd give
this one a try. A member of DFWMAS told me how he did it, and it seemed
like a good little DIY project. A hacksaw and a drill, plus 10 minutes
of your time and you'll be amazed.

Using a hacksaw, I cut off the jet off the impellar cover.

Holes were drilled in the coverplate to allow more water to flow in.

Here it is in the tank.

And what the tank looks like. The white is a sheet of eggcrate that
keeps the eels away from the clownfish.

And a 30 second video that is under 2 megs.

And one more, while feeding to demonstrate the flow better. 5 megs
