Babies will be delivered from the business end of the female, Its hard
to say how many fry are going to be born, as it varies from fish to
fish.,3 or 4 is not uncommon nor is 50 or 60 or more........age and
environement have a lot to do with it as well as the fishes own
genes.

They are apt to be eaten by any fish capable of fitting them in their
mouth or hurt if they are not large enough so its always best to have
fry in their own nursery tank if you really want the best chances of
survival for them. Once a guppy is bred initially, it can have a
spawning of fry every month or so for up to 6 months on average with
no need for another male so if these young female guppies were already
pregnant when you got them its from whatever males were with them
initially, so you can expect the fry for quite a few spawns to be that
way. So if your wanting a particular strain or pattern on guppies, its
important to separate males from females as early as possible to keep
them virgins until you give them the male you want to use for
breeding.. Sometimes in a large tank with sufficient vegetation and
cover its not uncommon for fry to survive just fine but odds increase
dramatically if in separate tank without larger fish of any kind.
