I had one about 20 years ago. I'm not even sure Symbranchius is a valid genus any
more and for all I know it's the same fish as one of the ones on that page. Fenner
did a nice job covering eels.

One thing is for sure, you need to do some serious work on the lid. If there's
an opening even less than half the diameter of the eel, it'll get out. Ask
me how I know.

Making sure no opening is as big as it's body diamter wasn't good enough it
turned out and there are few things more pathetic than a dried up eel.

One crunchy guppy - eh, but that big dried eel really upset me.
