Better looks and design than most forums,
Are you interested in looks or the content when you join the forum ?
no Ad's or popups,
How do you plan on supporting the cost of keeping it in operation
when your forum starts to grow ?
I'm not making you join, I'm giving you the option to visit and check it out,
if you like it then join.
I know you are not making me join... :-)
I was just not sure if I just could not find something unique about
your forum, or it was just not there when I checked it out...
Then I decided to ask the owner to be sure :-)
I also seen a couple larger forums that get
so large they have to turn options off during peak times
(mostly the search option).
That is mostly because they did not have a good plan for
growing and supporting the forum in financial/technical way.
Too slow computers, too low connection speeds, not enough
ads collecting money for the system support, etc :-)
It's a growing hobby with more and more people joining
forums every day, I myself belonged to a couple different
forums and they all have their advantages and disadvantages.
Sure, but the power of the forum is to have many people
who can help you when you need help or just to share
opinions in a larger crowd. Creating new forum instead of
joining an existing one could be reasonable if you are missing
something important in existing forums... and you can offer
this new, unique feature missing in other forums on your forum.
Creating just another forum being just the same like dozen
others is just devoid of the purpose, but it is just me :-)
Just by your reply here alone I can tell that http://coszam.net/forum
wouldn't mind having you along for the ride.
An active participation in a single forum takes time and effort.
The time is the only thing we have and the only thing we cannot
buy back when we loose it. All we do in our lives is to use our time
effectivelly and to sell our time to others with the biggest efficiency.
If I spend my time writing my opinion or helping someone in
his problems I would prefer doing it on the forum with thousands
of members who could benefit from my time than on the forum
with two members... The same thing applies to asking for help...
If I spend time asking for help on some forums, I am interested
in writing to a forum with the most chance of getting help...
My advice would be - join existing forum making it bigger and better
instead of creating yet another small one with poor content.
Concentrate knowledge about aquariums, instead of diluting it...
