I believe the recommendation in my manual is 6-8 inches for
CS6-1. My sump is much deeper than that so I just built a simple
stand out of PVC.

Hmm, what is the height of the stand you tank is on? I have the
worthless AGA pine stand and the skimmer looks like it would fit,
barely, underneath it with no room for a riser. Marc, by the ones that
allow 11" depth I assume you mean the giant ones right? The tank is
only a 75 gallon. What would be the one to get?
