Man - what ISN"T banned in maine? Even angelfish banned in maine? I could
understand maybe egeria densa (it would grow like a weed most anywhere and
cause major problems but the others in this list have me worried about
severely restricting freedom in maine and this country) being banned but
man....Good luck and later mister gardner - by the way - do you live in
maine?
I tried to make it clear in my note with these lists, the plants are
BANNED, the list of fish are PERMITTED. The problem with the fish list
is that any fish not on the list is not permitted, and there are a
whole lot of fish that the department hasn't gotten around to
investigating and (hopefully) adding to the list. Many of us believe
that the list should have been determined by EXclusion rather than
INclusion.
Again. The fish in the list are the only fish PERMITTED in Maine.
And yes, I live in a small town along the Penobscot Bay in Maine.
Driving directions are easy from the lower 48: Go to Boston and hang a
sharp left. And keep going. And going. And going. And going. And
going. During your visit, please spend money. Lots of money.
