Do you guys need the money? I live in a tourist town and might be able to
direct some tourists your way. I do regret that my town is a tourist town
though - because of things like corruption (although that isn't necessarily
caused by tourism) in the city government, the rich taking over and pushing
us middle class and poor (obviously) out and terrible vehicle traffic.I know
a lot of people here that hate driving especially because of the traffic
caused by the tourism. Good luck and later!
Yeah - we need the bucks. Old backwards laid back easy living Maine
comes out on top of the list of combined local, state, and federal
taxes - nearly 32% of our income goes right back out in taxes. Highest
in the nation. Whenever we have trouble balancing the state budget,
we add a new tax. The most recent was a few months ago when the price
of a pack of cigarettes jumped to more than $6.00. We were told it was
done for a healthy reason, but in reality it's just helping the
governor balance the budget. It did help me healthwise, I quit 40
years of cigarettes and switched to a pipe. Less chance of lung
cancer, more chance of mouth cancer. I'm trying to figure out how to
keep this on topic, which I believe has something to do with fish.
Another sore spot in Maine's economy - fresh caught shrimp is
RETAILING for 80 cents a pound right now. A pickup truck on every
corner selling shrimp and fish fresh off the boat for pittance. Ah,
but we enjoy our tourists. Their season coincides with the black fly
season, so we get it all over with at once. And we get a kick out of
putting on that thick accent and pretending to be standoffish and
answering questions with questions. And you know, a lot of summer
visitors go home believing that the correct way to eat a Maine lobster
is at a picnic table by an old 55 gallon drum boiling water over a
smoky fire 6 feet away from a 50 mph highway. Ayuh.

that's cheap for 20 fags - around $8.75 plus over here...and then don't
get me talking about the price of petrol....but way off topic...so let's
leave it at that...
Your shrimps are nice and cheap as well....
