Default Leather got burnt on heater

I'd leave it to heal. (Sorry about the delay in replying, I'm catching
up on old posts as I have time.

Because of a sudden cold run in the weather I put in the tank a seconds
heater, this was just pressed onto the front glass, anyhow, my leather coral
seems to have grown a bit over the past week or the rock it is on moved a
little and a section of the coral was touching the heater. That area looks
very brown like cooked meat. Any ideas what will happen after this ?, should
I cut that peice off with a razor blade and bin it ? or just leave it for
nature to fix ?
