Hau kolas..well guess my questions are by the wayside now..my female ameca
splendens
must have given birth last night..I thought she had a few weeks yet. oops so
found 3 survivors
sheltering from the cichlids in some cabomba plants..netted them out..didn't
see any corpses,
so don't know how many she had or how many the cichlids feasted on. I'll see
if I can keep the trio alive
and learn the lesson for next time. She wasn't nearly as big as she got for
the last batch..
according to my notes last batch was born 1/24..that would be approx 67
days..assuming the
60 day gestation, seems females are ready to breed again pretty quickly
(don't store sperm).
