Filtered with two whisper power filters and a UGF powered by two

Tank2 is 29 gal 7.4ph 3 kh. It is planted, contains less aged drift
wood. Filtered with a whisper power filter and a large sponge with
powerhead. Stocked originally with three black mollies which have
turned into about 30 mollies and population rapidly rising!

For the past couple of months, I've been doing approx 20% water changes
twice per week. Previously, I'd been worried about the high PH of the
tap water so did fewer water changes. But I've read that fresh water
is better than perfect water. And the fish seem to love the water
changes.

What do you think of adding four Angel fish to Tank 1? The current
Tank 1 inhabitants, while very cool fish, are all shy or nocturnal.
I'd like some fish that would be easily seen in the day. However, I'm
concerned that in this relatively small space the fish would be crowded
by the time everyone keeps growing.

If Angels aren't a good choice, what else? I once tried tetras with
a black ghost based on a books statement about the ghost being so
peaceful. Ha ! Tetras came up dead or missing eye balls.

my experience with angels and (dwarf) gouramis was that they did not mix
well because of the semi-aggressive and territorial behavior both can
exhibit. i've had other problems with the gouramis as well with them
becoming overly reclusive when not comfortable with their surroundings or
other fish. from the sound of things and the level of your water changes
i think tank could support four angels untill they grow to full adult size
and pair off, in which case i'd recommend keeping just the mated pair. my
suggestion would be to move the gouramis over with the mollies to help,...
umm... *controll* their population. ;-) that would free up adding the
angels to your other tank w/o conflicts arrising. i'm not sure how well
the mollies and goirmies would mix however.

one other thing, i dont know a thing about black ghost or how well they mix
with angels. this would be the first thing i'd check (even if it is the
last thing i forgot to mention). :-)
