Hi..
I've heard about pretty North American minnows of 3-4"
maximum. Unfortunately I don't know their colloquial or
scientific names.
In a telephone call a friend told me about several other
pretty small North American Cold-water Fish.
There's the green sailfin molly, but it's not that much of a coldwater fish
and could not survive german winters. the same goes for the Gambusia
mosquitofish. Tough as nails, but it might not make it in European ponds.
Gambusia have been introduced to many areas outside their home range in the
southern US, and have come to be thought as a pest species responsible for
environmental destruction.
