Default Silicone Grease

My instruction sheet on my CSS skimmers says to simnply use a light
coat of petrolatum (Vasel;ine) to coat Oring, and my papers on my
other pump (Sequence) says the same thing to use a light coat of
petrolatum to coat all orings such as is found on strainer
baskets......

I have a large tube of Krytox grease.......but finding it locally may
be a bit hard not to say EXPENSIVE..........I got mine at a DROM sale
dirt cheap, as it was past its shelf life. Now that may make a
difference for what that grease is intended for, but for a louosy fish
tank and associated equipment its certaily better than anything your
gonna find locally or even order on line to buy and use. Its main use
is in liquid oxygen systems, under high pressure............I feel
confortable with using it.....as its been just fine for a long while
now.............

What do you want to grease in your tank?

Probably some rubber/silicone gaskets in his water pumps.
