In watching my GF I believe they would rather have company than be alone.
In the ponds and pools they hang around together in one or more small
groups as do the koi. They will wander off always from the group, but
always go back. I would never keep one GF by itself.

i recall reading some where on the net that they do like to be with other
GF, but i guess that dont mean a lot
