It made it easier to cover several NGs on the same subject. The person
didn't have to repost the same message on several groups. Now it's used by
trolls to destroy NGs for their own satisfaction.

Seems like it just bogs the
system down...consuming bandwidth.....this is a senseless generation for
sure...Technology abounds and we lack the discipline to use it properly.

ISPs used to do something about abusive posters and off-topic cross-posters
on Usenet. Those days are gone.
