Ok we are settled in now...
I went up with the thought of getting koi angels, however the only ones he
had big enough for selling size and still under quarter size were dinner for
a (I think this is the name) shovel head catfish, wow that monster was big
and ugly, there were two in a 130g and did not look like they fit all that
well...the catfish, he said koi angels that were in that tank were not up to
par something about color I guess (thought that was mean but guess its life)
I did manage to find one koi along with a black and a white one they are
doing find today and look happy at this time.
Female betta's is anther story, I took all my females out of the tank
yesterday because since the week of the funeral the tank has not been right,
I did go a week and a half with out cleaning and I was unable to get rid of
the cloudy and get on top of it again, so I took them out cleaned it well
took half water out and used "clear water and refilled what I took out,
waited for temp to get back to 80 then returned my females with the two new
ones who are smaller then the rest, they did well, however my two bigger
females got into a fight, but they are back to swimming together now. water
looks good again.
I seen 2 huge GF koi up there, longer then my arm....wow
They also had a indoor pond full of yellow koi, very pretty if they were not
sitting beside those monsters I would of been temped to get one, the color
was so bright, I think he had about four indoor ponds with koi.
I also seen a ton of cichlids and discus, he has them from babies up to full
grown, I will tell you they all look so healthy...and I could not begin to
tell you how many different kinds, ones I never heard of before.
I spent a good bit checking out the angels, he keeps the place somewhat
dark, gives you a flash light when you go in to see, the lights are on in
the place but not in a lot of the tanks, as not to disturb the fish. anyway
he had angels from babies up to adults and a lot of them, all looked
healthy, when i was picking the ones i wanted there must of been twenty of
them up at the top trying to get in the net, kind of like pick me pick
me..lol

Mr. G, what do you feed your angels the first few days till they get used to
their new home, anything different? I gave them a few flakes last night but
was not sure if it was a good idea to feed them right away.
