I'm asking for a little help.

Quite a few of these troll post we have been getting here went through
Earthlink. I have reported them to Director-Abuse Department at;
asking for, in their words "legal action to enjoin
violations" and "terminate the member's account". I would suspect the
more people that would do the same, the faster we will get our news
groups back - please help.

Earthlink says that they _do not_ actively monitor use of services
under normal circumstances. I pointed out that under Earthlinks
Policies & Agreements, under #2, Violations, breaking the following
rules is _NOT_ "normal circumstances", by any means!

#2 - violations
b. harm to minors - in anyway.
c. threats - threatens or encourages bodily harm.
d. harassment.
f. forgery or impersonation.
j. collection of personal data (and posting it).
l. unfriendly activity (attacks against another individual user)
m. continued posting of off-topic acticles and
crossposting/multiposting

Earthlink requests that *anyone* who believes that there is a violation
of AUP, to direct the information to; Director - Abuse Department at;
