I have an Elephant Slug as well from him hanging under some live rock I
bought. He's substantially bigger than your youngster.

I've only had him for 2 weeks but he's just fine. My tank isn't fully
loaded with corals and such yet but all is peaceful and healthy. People
before me had him since that nickel size in a fully stocked tank and never
had a problem. They rather liked him in there.

Mine seems to hate light and can tell when the lights are about to turn off
(mine are timed). He likes to hang upside down in a cave I have made then
starts to peak out just before the lights go out.

Happy 4th everyone, does anyone happen to know if a Scutus (black sea
slug) can be poisonous to the tak? I found one tonight on a piece of LR,
which I temporarily took out of the tank. I'd like to put it back, but
only if it can't harm anything as I don't know if they can "kill" my tank
if injured or dies. It's about the size of a nickle, jet black with the
whitish stipe on it's back. I'm possitive that it's a scutus, but can't
find any "threat" info yet.
