Default Scutus

Oh I missed a part of your question...

I haven't read anywhere that they are toxic. If something should happen to
the scutus, your tank should be fine.

By the way, the people before me didn't know it was on their rock and so
they didn't acclimate it and the scutus did just fine. They apparently
tried to kill it once by keeping it out of water for two days and it still
lived. (I don't know them personally so no cruelty comments please.) Well
they decided if it was that strong that they'd keep him. I, also, just put
the rock in my aquarium and he's just fine.

I'm thinking in all that, if they're toxic, we'd know by now.

Happy 4th everyone, does anyone happen to know if a Scutus (black sea
slug) can be poisonous to the tak? I found one tonight on a piece of LR,
which I temporarily took out of the tank. I'd like to put it back, but
only if it can't harm anything as I don't know if they can "kill" my tank
if injured or dies. It's about the size of a nickle, jet black with the
whitish stipe on it's back. I'm possitive that it's a scutus, but can't
find any "threat" info yet.

Thanks, Patrick
