I would expect UV blocking piece of glass in that place.
Especially with double-ended MH bulbs...

my AquaLight, but not so much that it bothers me, and is on a separate
cord so I can unplug it temporarily if I need to. I think the fan is
more efficient than in the AquaLight, too.

Is the fan temperature controlled or is it on full speed all the time ?

I like the built-in moon lights LEDs.

Do you have any control over their brightness ?
