Without Googling my fingers away...
Just how many "colors" are commonly available, other than the red and blue
strains.
I've seen various greens, yellows, pink...Are they like the Fancy Gupps
where the sky's the limit on color and pattern?

I'm familiar with the split tails, crown tails and (I guess) the regular
'old' betta.

I don't think anything can match the guppy for color variation and beauty of
pattern and type. If you check out PetsMart when they get their shipments
of bettas in, you may be lucky enought to find some unusual colors. My
original yellow and white bettas come from there but I've seen other colors
that are hard to describe. Mostly I just see the same old red, blue, smutty
greens and combinations of these colors where I live.
