I think you are unfair to speculate about the fish on just theories.
"On just theories"? I have kept several SAEs in pairs and in bigger groups
(up to 6), and in tanks from 160 to 300 liters (about 45 - 80 gallons), and
I've kept Garra cambodgiensis, two other Garra species and some other SAE
relatives like Flying Fox, Red-tailed Shark and Rainbow Shark.
Clowns and SAEs are very special to me, thus I have so many and thus I
rush to defend the SAEs.
I don't think that keeping SAEs (grow easily up to 5", sometimes up to
nearly 7") and Clown Loaches (easily up to 5-6", in very good aquarium up
to 12") in a mere 10g tank is a good idea. I think that we have discussed
this before here in this newsgroup, and I really don't approve it although
I think you had some kind of "explanation" why you think it is ok.
And what bad did I say about SAEs so that they need defending? They are my
favourire fish, and have been like that for over 10 years. It just took
some time for me to realize how much room they really need and how happy
they are in a big group with enough swimming space.

Sorry Liisa,
I reread your post and did not find reason to say your opinion was
based on theories.
