What are the 3 numbers on some plant fertilizer bottles? The Plant

Gro
one
I have says 0.15 - 0 - 0.

Martin

The numbers mean N-P-K (nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium).

In this case you have 0.15% nitrogen (as water soluble organic nitrogen

as
a
chelated agent), no phosphorus and no potassium. You will also have some
chelated iron, and small amounts of chelated and soluble manganese,

chelated
and soluble zinc, and trace amounts of boron, chelated copper and

chelated
molybdate.

What roles do the nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium play?

Plant nutrients. They are required for plant growth. However, excessive
phosphorus will cause an algal bloom in your tank.
