We all are. ;-) I post about fish keeping and this one person has
badgered and insulted me for months because our experiences differ. I
think it's time to killfile her.

then do it and shut up about it.

Hey, why don't YOU killfile me and shut up about it? :-)))

Apparently you don't respond to anyone since your name is not familiar.
But with all the nym-shifting and trolling on this NG.... well know
knows. I'll say you're one of the Cabal using a different nym so I don't
recognize you. ;-)

thats because you are way too much of a newbie here. ;-)

Yep,... only here for 7 or 8 months, maybe longer.

So I destroyed this group because I don't keep bettas in filtered heated
tanks? That I have the GALL to tell the truth to a know-it-all who is a
rude, insulting and a badgering nag? HOW DARE I SPEAK UP!!!!

no. you destroyed this group because you refused to
kill-file/ignore/shut-up and continued to promote your "right" to argue
about things that have nothing to do with freshwater aquaria. (kinda like
you are now).

And like YOU are? What does your belittling me have to do with fish?
Nothing that I can see. It appears you never heard what's good for the
goose is good for the gander or do we have some kind of double standard
here? The disagreement over betta keeping isn't about fish? Then what are
they? Birds?

Childish response to what assistance? I'm well aware people have
successfully kept bettas in everything from small ivy bowls to 20g+ hated
filtered tanks. So how is she assisting me?

to understand there is something called "optimal conditions" under which
bettas thrive. would you live longer, healthier in a confined, cold,
unkept, closet, or in a luxury suite. iow, you are saying environment has
no effect on constitution or longivity. how quaint a concept.

I know what Optimal Conditions are. Few fish (or people, or dogs, or cats,
or parakeets, or hamsters) are kept under "optimal conditions". Are we to
nag, harass, badger and insult those who don't provide someone's idea of OC
for their fish? If you want OC for bettas then sink a heated and filtered
100g pool in the ground like my friend in Florida has, plant it well and
feed them nothing but live food. Make sure everyone who purchases them has
such a pool to provide OC. Now THAT in anyone's opinion is OC, how can
anyone disagree? Not a 5 or 10g tank where they do little more than they do
in a 1g tank.

All you want to do is argue, just like her............. then accuse *me* of
being off-topic.
