Default Plumbing

It should be safe. ABS is Acrylonitrile-Butadiene-Styrene
It's not as resilient as pvc, but would not be toxic.

I need to make some siphons and discharges for two pumps I bought.
Regular PVC is white and looks a bit gaudy. ABS is black and hides well,
but I haven't found small stuff (1/2"). I also don't know how safe it is
for marine tanks. The best stuff available seems to be the grey schedule
80 PVC. Any other ideas? I'm in the U.S.
