Default Goldfish sent home as party favors

Netmax is over at The Freshwater Aquarium group. He is one of the
group owners and is still as knowledgeable as ever.

I'm here. the fastest way to cycle is with those foam things drop an airstone down
the middle. they get filthy fast and not suitable long term but...... a used filter
cartridge from an existing tank is superb.
try not to feed the gf much food and it will cut down on how much waste they make.
I still maintain a 100 gallon rubbermaid stock watering tank in the basement just in
case I suffer temporary brain death and get something. LOL. Ingrid

Update:

Well, this morning I have four booking goldfish. With luck they'll stay
happy and healthy.

Next step... getting those tanks cycled...

I have biowheel filters on my existing tanks, but the media is the wrong
size.

My initial approach will be to install new biowheel filters on the new
tanks and drop in a used filter cartridge.

I normally use AmQuel, so that should give me some breathing room.

Oye Vay! I thought I was done with this part of fishkeeping for a while...

Now I know how a guy feels who just sent his last kid off to college and
whose wife comes up pregnant a couple weeks later... ;-)

Comments? Suggestions? Sympathy?
