I just wipe it out with a paper towel and water.
if a disease killed the fish then the fish was already sick with the
disease, it was more likely bad water quality (ammonia/nitrite/temp) or
incorrect feeding that killed it.
Also not many diseases handle the bowl merely being dried out or being left
setup without a host for 2 weeks
at least then the bowl may have been matured a bit
