Many years ago when the idea was presented that protein skimmers might
remove orthophosphate, I looked it up, and it was defined as a highly
vaporous form of phosphate. So much for that definition :-)

Skimmers DO NOT remove phosphate, orthophosphate or PO4-3. End of story.
Skimmers ONLY remove compounds that have surfactant properties. Do you know
what a surfactant is genius?
