I just read at a couple of sites where they said that it was a one
tablespoon per five gallons of water for Mollys,...which is what I
have put in the tank,...I guess I will now have to purchase some more
sea salt, right? Problem is, is that I'm one of those folks who when
he goes into a LFS, I become just like a kid in a candy store, and
that's not good, because I'm on Social Security Disability, and they
upped my rent and cut my food stamps,...So maybe I'll just stand at
the door of the shop, and ask for the packet of salt,...LOL~Dean.
We have the same problem Dean... usually it's guppies, but last time we came
home with a 14" pl*co!
For brackish water the ratio is 1 tablespoon per gallon... mollies prefer
it, but don't *need* it... they'll be fine in fresh water. We have some
adult mollies in our community tank which has no salt and they're happy
enough... but without salt they're more susceptible to white spot so the
tank needs to be periodically treated.
