Hi, a capillary leak/creep is where water seeps over the rim of the fish tank and down the back, you would probably not notice it as it would be a very small amount but enough to make you think the tank is leaking when you notice the water underneath the front of the aquarium. Using air stones can make this problem worse especially if the air stones are at the back of the aquarium. hope this answers your question.
