OK thanks.. I mis read the original posting and for some strange reason, I
thought you guys were buying the goop that is left behind after the water
is DI... I should really go back on my medication

It's the "finishing" step in an RO/DI system. Demineralization by Ion
Exchange. The "RO" removes +/- 95% of TDS (total dissolved solids). The

DI
absorbs everythingthe reverse osmosis membrane does not.

What does DI Resin do and why would anyone want it?

Yep Filterdirect also has it in bagged form in bullk. Call em up or
send em an email and tell em how much you need and talk to Oscar
and ask if he can cut you a deal. I just got a bulk order of DI Resin
delivered on Tuesday from Filterdirect.

Thanks very much ~ appreciate the quick reply. I was browsing the

group and
saw where someone had recommended FilterDirect for RO/DI - seems

that
sell
bags of DI resin as well:

I'll check out EBay as well.

Thanks!

Does anyone know where I can buy bulk resin for DI cartridges

online? In
the past, I've purchased it from InReef, but it appears they've

gone out
of business since I last stocked up.

Thanks very much!
Teri
