Still trolling old ladies Roy Tristan? We see you invaded yet another ng to
get to granny.........

Well it certainly should not make ANY audible noise your going to hear
outside the tank........There may be something in and around the
impeller / magnet making noise. Easy enough to pull apart and check.
Just make sure the impeller cavity is cleanand free od debri and also
the impeller / magnet assembly, and that the rubber bushings on the
ends of the impeller shaft are in place...and not crushed or busted.
There shuld be a rubber bushing on each end of the stainless steel
shaft.

Question - I have a MaxiJet 1200 Powerhead in my tank to create some
current for my fish. I have it unplugged though because it is rather
noisy - it makes an almost grinding noise; I think its the impeller or
something, and I'm not sure how to fix/clean it? Anyone have any
suggestions?

Also, does anyone know whether a noise like that in the tank is bad
for
the fish - it drives me nuts, so I'm assuming it drives them nuts too?
Any thoughts would be nice.

Finally, what's with the taunting messages on this listserv?
