Water change to dilute fertisiers in water
Increase plant life and filter bacteria
don't over feed, and increase water movement

algae is better managed by controlling it's growth
poisons that kill the ecosystems basic starting blocks
like bacteria and algae are bad news

I much prefer to try find a fish or animal that eats it

I just purchased Tank Buddies No More Algae, and after reading all the
warnings about it causeing harm to humans, animals,cancer, etc I was
wondering if anyone else uses this or similar algae remover, or a safer
alternative, etc...
