they are very different viruses. I have one with carp pox and none of my others have
caught it. seems like there is a genetic susceptibility.

herpes is another thing entirely. I thought I heard that one of the herpes viruses
is behind the new deadly fish disease that activates when temps climb over 80 or so.
it has been a really bad problem in southern areas. Ingrid


I'm unclear on whether or not Carp Pox and Koi Herpes are different
diseases or just the same name for the same thing.

I don't want to kill the fish, but it certainly sounds like I should
isolate this one.
