I know this will sound a little strange, but all I have kept over the last
25 years is Marines. This year I thought a plants only freshwater tank
would be interesting, especially with all the CO2 progress that has been
made. If my plant questions come across as 'strange' over the next few
months please forgive me, I'm used to dealing with macro algae's.

When you've been on Usenet as long as I have, few things come across as
strange. ;-) There is a "plant man" on the "rec.aquaria.freshwater.plants"
group who is quite knowledgeable about fresh water aquarium plants. I'm
sure he can give you some good advice.
