The growth rate of these fish is very dependant on the
availability &
types of food provided. A diet of flake food might
achieve almost no
perceptible growth, while a tank full of snails with a
diet of brine
shrimp & bloodworms will cause a grown rate which will
might make you
start worrying about your Neon's safety ;~)
Thanks for the info. I feed a variety of foods, including
frozen brine shrimp & frozen blood worms, sinking pellets,
shrimp pellets, algae tablets, Betta bits, even flake food
(not all at once!).
To cite an example, if I drop 2 Yoyos juveniles (1.5")
That's about the size of my two.
in a tank full of
snails, the first one to figure out that
snail=escargot=food will be
noticeable larger in just one week, as compared to his
partner. In 2
months, if only one is eating snails, there will be an
inch difference
between them (almost double the size difference).
Whoa! I'll have to watch to see which one is smarter.
Thanks again.
