Pay no attention to "Pondmeister". It's simply my turn to be a target
for his foul mouthed tantrums. Just ignore him.
As for your Pleco, I did a quick search and came up several differnent
answers. Anywhere between 4-20 yrs. Isn't that crazy.
I checked 4 sites and got 4 different answers.
They are also called "bristlenose" plecos as well.
They're great for algae control and stay relatively small. A much
better choice of Pleco than a common one.
It's too bad the pet shops don't push them instead of the commons (who
get very large).
Sorry I couldn't help you with the facts, but I just coudln't get a
common answer.
