Default Why People Like Bettas So Much

Perhaps you can help me keep a
Betta alive...I also love
them. I need some tips as the
last several I've had died.

I use a well washed bowl,
bleached, very well rinsed and
set in the sunshine. I think
one mistake I've done is to
put them in distilled water,
from my home distiller.

My previous ones (in spring
water) got a white film, I
doctored with pet store
remedies. I also had a "betta
bulb" in the bowl, hoping the
growth would give them
something to sleep under.

The home distilled water is
now out . The betta bulb is
now out and I want to go get a
new Betta.

Please advise as to specific
care and feeding, water
changes, how often, bowl
location and size (currently
using a 1 gal), etc, as I love
watching them swim about.

This website on your posting

I'm ashamed and embarrassed
with my ignorance and rate of
my "flush funerals".

Thanks in advance,

Nicki.

1. Their amazing good looks. Everyone's amazed by the rich colors of
my bettas and their dramatic fins. They're stunning little creatures.
In my large collection of bettas I've got everything you can imagine.
There's Rusty, who's red with shiny green fins. Kermit, who's green.
Marvin, my marble. Sunny, my solid yellow. Mermaid, my turquoise
beauty.
2. Bettas have personality, unlike so many other types of fish. They
wag their tails, have minds of their own, and enchant people with
their cute antics. To display their personality they do need to be
healthy and happy though, and I'll give you the secrets to make it
easy for you.
3. They're addictive! Once you unlock the secrets of how to care for
them, how can you not fall in love with the sight of their wiggly,
vibrant bodies excited to see you? How can you not become fascinated
by all of those radiant colors swimming around?
