A guy in my local LFS told me that he drank RO water for three months
believing that as it was pure and had no minerals it would be good for him.
Unfortunatley his teeth started to break up and he experienced gum

If you're looking for an R/O unit, the Aqua Vie really isn't practical
for aquariums. I'd recommend Seachem's R/O unit instead.

I could not agree more!!
All fish need minerals in their water, even Amazon Basin fish. In fact
there is a lot of evidence of the importance of calcium for good
osmoregulation in fish which will result in much less incidence of
disease and other problems.
