Many people do not realize that a TDS meter is unnecessary. Then there
is the issue of TDS as TDS, as NaCl and CaCO3. A conductivity meter
can not measure any of these values/say. There is no way a TDS meter
can tell you how many ppm of Total Dissolved Solids there are in a
sample. My husband says the same can be acomplished by floating a meat
thermometer in the water for 5 minutes. if the setting is above well
done or broasted, the total dissolved solids are within normal levels.
